DreamFoam Bedding, a sister company of Brooklyn Bedding is a mattress manufacturer based in U.S that offers latex, memory foam and gel foam mattresses, including the Ultimate Dreams Eurotop Latex mattress under this review.
There are a total of 4 different series under their latex mattress lineup, namely the Ultimate Dreams Latex (most affordable), Ultimate Dreams Eurotop, Ultimate Dreams Aloe Alexis and Ultimate Dreams Total Latex (most expensive).
All latex mattresses from DreamFoam uses a Tatalay Latex as the comfort layer. The difference between Ultimate Dreams Total Latex and the rest lies in the core layer of the mattress.
While the other 3 series uses HD poly foam as the bottom layer, the Total Latex series uses a 6″ Tatalay latex as core, making it the most resilient and comfortable.
However, if you are looking for a total latex mattress, the PlushBeds 10″ Botanical Bliss Latex mattress is probably a better choice. It has received unparalleled customer satisfaction, with an overall rating of 9.8/10 based on more than 80 verified customer reviews at the time of writing.
With that said, if you have a budget of under $1,000, the DreamFoam Ultimate Dreams Eurotop Latex mattress will provide a lot of bang for your bucks.
DreamFoam Ultimate Dreams Eurotop Latex Mattress Review
Most customers shopping for their first mattresses have a hard time deciding the type of mattress (memory foam, gel-based, latex, spring coils etc.) and the firmness of the mattress (soft, medium-soft, medium, medium-firm, firm).
Traditionally, latex and memory foam mattresses offer the highest satisfaction for customers. Their main differences lie in how the foam reacts to your body when you lay on them.
Memory foam allows your body to sink down further into the mattress, creating a custom mold of your body. On the other hand, latex contours your body without giving you the sinking feeling, but both options help to reduce pressure points on the body and are often rated the most comfortable mattresses.
With that said, the Ultimate Dreams Eurotop Latex mattress is one of the most popular options within DreamFoam’s lineup, and at the same time enjoys a high rating from hundreds of its customers.
To help customers find their perfect firmness, DreamFoam contacts their customers through email after each purchase to help them customize the comfort level (they have a sleep specialist called Chuck). The Ultimate Dreams Eurotop’s comfort levels range from 1 (hard) to 10 (soft).
- Top Layer: 1.5″ of Hyper Flex foam. This layer offers breathability and a bit of buffer on top of the Tatalay latex comfort layer. Helps in cooling.
- Middle Layer: 3″ of Tatalay Latex. This layer conforms to each unique contour of your body and provides pressure relief. This layer is also hypoallergic and dust mite resistant, which prevents allergic and infestation issues.
- Bottom Layer: 6″ of HD Poly Foam base. This layer provides support to the comfort layers while still offers enough flexibility for bending (when the mattress is placed on adjustable beds). Provides orthopedic support to neck and back.
- Mattress Cover: Surrounding these 3 layers is a bamboo-knit zipper Eurotop cover that can be removed to adjust and replace or exchange the latex layer within. It offers more breathability (helps in cooling) compared to traditional cotton covers and it also feels softer than cotton, offering more plush. It’s also hypoallergic and anti-bacteria, making it superior to cotton counterparts.
The 3″ Tatalay latex layer contains many uniform holes to allow air to escape, which helps with breathability and cooling of body temperature during extended use. The bamboo mattress cover and 1.5″ Hyper Flex foam offer superior breathability too, so it’s obvious that DreamFoam takes temperature regulation and cooling seriously in the design of Ultimate Dreams Eurotop mattresses.
DreamFoam uses a machine to compress their mattresses at the time of shipping and roll them up. This allows them to ship the mattresses in compact boxes straight to customers’ home.
Once the mattresses have been unrolled and fully taken shape, DreamFoam recommends giving the mattress another 5 to 6 hours before it’s ready to sleep on.
Right after your purchase, the company’s representative, Chuck will contact you through email and offers customization on the firmness levels. He will ask questions about sleeping habits (back sleeper, side sleeper etc.) and recommended a firmness level that suits your needs.
If you want to change the firmness level after receiving your mattress, DreamFoam requires a $200 deposit to exchange the latex layer.
They will send the new layer in an oversized box to your home, where you place the original layer in the box and ship back to them at a FedEx shipping store. DreamFoam provides prepaid FedEx shipping labels as well so it’s free to ship the latex layers.
Once DreamFoam receives the original layer, you will get a full refund of your deposit.
If you are changing the Tatalay latex layer in your Eurotop mattress, be careful when you are zipping up the bamboo cover. Some users reportedly stuck their zipper into the new latex layer and causing minor damage. Make sure the latex layer doesn’t get in the zipper’s way.
Certifications of Ultimate Dreams Eurotop Mattress
DreamFoam claims that their Ultimate Dreams Eurotop mattress is certified by both CertiPUR-US and OEKO-TEX Standard 100, but what do these terms mean to the average buyer?
The polyurethane foams (HD foam base) of the mattress is CertiPUR-US certified, which means they are made without ozone-depleters and are regulated by Consumer Product Safety Commissions for Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
According to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) website, VOC can cause health effects such as ENT irritation, headache and nausea, damage to liver, kidney and central nervous system, and it is even suspected to cause cancer in humans.
Being CertiPUR-US certified also confirms the absence of PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead and heavy metals, as well as formaldehyde and forbidden phthalates in the polyurethane foams.
In the past, these harmful materials have been found in the end product or manufacturing process of some mattress, which gave rise to various certifications and standards in the mattress industry today.
The Ultimate Dreams Eurotop is also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which is a worldwide, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products at all processing levels.
Compliance with the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means Ultimate Dreams Eurotop mattress is tested to be free of harmful substances and complies with health standards, which is safe for even babies.

What Do People Say About Ultimate Dreams Eurotop Mattress?
There are quite a bit of variations between individuals in terms of preference for sleeping mattress – whether it’s firm, hard or soft, so we choose to look at hundreds of reviews for each product to capture the overall sentiment from the customers.
On firmness – most customers gravitate towards the firmness levels of between 4 to 6. Keep in mind that 4 is on the firmer side while 6 is on the softer side. Generally customers are satisfied with Chuck’s recommendation, who happens to be DreamFoam’s sleep specialist.
They are also satisfied with the professional and good service of DreamFoam’s representative, as we have not seen a single complaint on the customer service front. Buyers often discuss with Chuck before deciding on a firmness.
While a few customers end up changing the firmness level after the mattress has arrived, they were always hassle-free and come out satisfied.
Do note that you will have to deposit $200 for exchange of the latex comfort layer, but it will be refunded after the original layer has been received by DreamFoam. The shipment is handled by FedEx Ground and paid for by DreamFoam.
As is the case for most latex mattresses, customers have reported a good motion transfer reduction for Ultimate Dreams Eurotop mattress. If you have a sleeping partner or a pet sharing your bed, motion transfer is a highly important aspect to consider before you make a purchase.
When someone turns or gets in and out of bed, a mattress with good motion transfer reduction will absorb most of the vibrations and movements to minimize disruption for the still-sleeping partner. This contributes to reduced sleep disruption overnight and improved sleep quality overall.
While motion transfer does not affect those who sleep alone, most of them are concerned with the bounce-back time and recovery of the mattress surface. Fortunately, this is a strong suit for most latex mattresses, and the Eurotop mattress is no exception.
Customers like the quick bounce-back of the product, where they can change positions frequently and find that the mattress quickly contours and support their new sleeping positions.
If a mattress takes too long to recover, it can be difficult to turn as you tend to slide back into the indentation made from previous sleeping position.
As temperature regulation is a highlighted feature of the Eurotop mattress (bamboo-knit cover, breathable Hyper Flex foam and perforated Tatalay latex), users reported a high level of satisfaction in sleeping cool throughout the night.
Most customers who compare the Ultimate Dreams Eurotop to their previous purchases find it more cooling and comfortable for extended use.
The only negative aspects that we found among the hundreds of reviews are the initial off-gassing and indentation after months of use (a few isolated cases).
Some customers who are more sensitive reported odd odors in the first 1 to 2 nights of use, which dissipates after a while. If you are concerned with the odors, let the mattress air for a night or two before you start using to make sure the initial off-gassing is gone.
While a few users reported indentation of the mattress surface after several month of use, these seem to be isolated cases and DreamFoam has publicly reached out to them for a resolution.
The problem can be prevented by taking it out and rotating it every few months, or resolved by exchanging the Tatalay mattress layer.
